Leon Ross, age 69, of West Liberty, KY went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 13,2022 at the U. K. Hospital, Lexington, KY after an extended illness. He was born September 28,1952 in West Liberty, KY to Jimmie and Lennie Denniston Ross. Leon had accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his savior and loved telling people about what the Lord had done for him. He loved spending time with his family and greatly enjoyed talking to others, not meeting a stranger. He was one of the most kind, friendly, generous and strongest men around and the world was a better place with him in it.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmie and Lennie Ross; one brother, Leo Ross and an infant son, Chad Leon Ross.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Debra Watkins Ross; two daughters, Emily ‘Mercie’ Potter and fiance, Greg Gullett; Angela ‘Ann’ Lewis and husband Jason. One son, Michael Ross and wife Ashley all of West Liberty, KY. Three grandsons, David Chase Potter, Casey Darren Potter, Dalton Gage Ross. Two step- granddaughters, Alex Young and husband Derrik, Lindsay Gullett. Two step-great-grandchildren, Willow and Thadius Young. One sister, Donna Conkright and husband Jim, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and one special little boy, Connor Shanks.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm, Wednesday, February 16,2022 in Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Pastor Sammy Van Cleave officiating. Burial in the Ross Family Cemetery, Denniston Road, West Liberty, KY. Visitation will be 6:00pm, Tuesday in Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY.

Pallbearers, Mike Amyx, Brian Flannery, Greg Nickell, Jamie Nickell, Austin Hatton and Aiden Hatton.
