Lois (Cantrell) Jones

Lois Cantrell Jones age 93 of Bill Jones Road, West Liberty, KY passed away Monday January 10,2022 at her home after an extended illness. She was born September 1,1928 in West Liberty, KY to John Wallace Cantrell and Minnie Bell Wright Cantrell. She was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother and a friend to all who knew her.

Surviving are two daughters; Pearl & Jimmie Smith, Barbara Costello, one son Paul Jones, son-in-law, Buck Gamble. Four granddaughters; Heather Gamble, Frances Johnson, Jessica & Allen Haney, Tammy Jones. Two grandsons; Roger & Crystal Smith, Steven Jones Three great-granddaughters: Alexandria Smith, Emily Johnson, Bradlyn Haney. Two great-grandsons. Two sisters-in-law; Sandy Cantrell, Arminite Jones. Brother-in-law; Jimmy Jones & Teresa Jones. A very, very special friend whom she loved like a daughter, Wanda Hamilton and her extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents John Wallace & Minnie Bell Wright Cantrell, husband of 65 years, Willis Elwood (Bill) Jones. Two daughters Alene Sue Orndroff, Rhonda Gamble, infant son, Lee Wallace Jones. Granddaughter, Susan Renee Smith, two grandsons, Jamie Allen Legg, Buck Anthony Gamble, two great-grandsons, Nathan Michael Legg, Leonard Jimmie Smith.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm, Friday, January 14,2022 in Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Elder Lonnie B. Wright and Elder Charles Wright officiating. Burial in the Gambill & Jones Cemetery, on Bill Jones Road, West Liberty,KY. Pallbearers are friends and family. Visitation will be 10:30am Friday in Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY.
