Lou Montgomery

Lou Montgomery, age 91, of Wellington, KY, passed away Tuesday, October 4th,2022 in the St. Joseph Hospital, Mt. Sterling, KY after an extended illness. Born February 14,1931 in Bloomington, KY (Magoffin Co.,KY) to Dewey Jenkins and Celia Prater Jenkins. She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her savior. She worked as a cook for the Morgan Co. Middle School.

Surviving are her two daughters, Wanda & James Harold Lane, Cathie Welch, five grandchildren, Michelle Williams, Kim Lane, Donald Joe Welch, James Lane Jr., Marsha Lynn Mullins. Twelve great grandchildren, one great great grandson. Two Sisters, Glenna Sue Greene, Madge Marie Conley Preceded in death by her parents, Dewey & Celia Prater Jenkins, husband Hubert “Burr” Montgomery, two sisters & four brothers.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm, Friday, October 7,2022 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Bro. Dennis Flannery officiating. Interment in Ezel Cemetery, Ezel, KY. Visitation starts 6:00pm, Thursday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY. Pallbearers are friends and relatives.
