Lowell Ray Rose, Sr., 68 of Deaden Branch Road, West Liberty, KY, passed away Monday, September 4, 2006 at Hazard Appalachian Regional Hospital, at Hazard, KY, following an extended illness.
Born September 7, 1937, in Middletown, Ohio, Lowell Ray was a son of the late Henderson Rose and Flossie Evaline Pence Rose.
He was a retired truck driver, a Korean War Veteran serving in the Air Force, and attended Index Community Church, at West Liberty, KY.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Renfro.
Survivors include two daughters; Phyllis Ann Rose & Eric Helton, of Means, KY & Dorothy Evaline Marshall and Allen Marshall, of Lancaster, Ohio; one son, Lowell Ray Rose, Jr. and Regina Keeton Rose, of Westr Liberty, KY; 4 sisters, Debbie & Gary Griggs, of Means, Louise Kidd, and Lois & Henry Martin, of Middletown, Ohio, and Peggy & Dennis Back, of Springboro, Ohio; one brother, Larry & Betty Rose, of Farmersville, Ohio; and 4 grandchildren.
Funeral Services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, September 7, 2006 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, with Rev. James Allen officiating. Burial followed in the Ginter Cemetery, at Leatherwood, KY.
Military rites were conducted at the graveside by Morgan County DAV.
Pallbearers were friends & relatives.
