Mablene Hall Jones, age 85, of Grassy Creek, KY, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026, after a brief illness at the Morgan Co. ARH Hospital, West Liberty, KY. She was born November 19, 1940, in Helechawa, KY, a daughter of Arnold & Gladys Marie Patrick Hall. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, homemaker, and caregiver.
Surviving are five children: Phyllis Chaney & Greg, Carol McDonald & Bart, Sheila Jones, Becky King & Jeff, Kevin Jones & Shanna, and daughter-in-law Angie Chaffin. Fifteen grandchildren: Andrea Keaton & Nathan, Holly Tackett & Jason, Nathaniel McDonald & Ruth, Dana Daily & Trey, Tyler Jones, Whitley Smith & Henry, Kelsey Smith & Kasay, Kaitlyn Chaffin, Johnathan Havens, Taylor King & Taylor, Brittany Whisman & Jeffery, Kacie Cantrell & Brian, Karson Jones, Caleb Easterling, and Logan Easterling & Whitney. Nineteen great-grandchildren. Two sisters: Phyllis Wilson and Wanda Hall, one brother Dean Hall
She was preceded in death by her husband, A. C. Jones; parents, Arnold Hall and Gladys Marie Patrick Hall; son, James William Jones; grandson, Patrick McDonald; and two great-grandchildren. Sisters: Reva Hall, Edith Hall. Brothers: Delmer, Dorsie, Delbert, Edgar Carl, Arnold Ray, and Elmer Hall.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Chaney and Bro. Jason Tackett, who will deliver messages of comfort to the family. Interment in Holby Cemetery, Hazel Green, KY.
