Mary Vance Obituary

Mary Frances Elam Vance, age 82, of Murphy Fork Rd., Hazel Green, KY passed away Friday, March 17,2023 at her home after an extended illness. Born September 24, 1940 at Index, KY to the late Willie Elam and Rebecca Couch Elam. She was a member of the Broadway First Church of God, West Liberty, KY. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and sister.

Surviving are four children; Keith & Betty Vance, Kathy & Gene Wiglesworth, Karen & Garry Harper, Cindy & Chris Bradley. Six grandchildren; Cody & Morganne Harper, Cory & Sadie Harper, Sara Bradley, Amy Wiglesworth, Erica Porter, Randy Lewis. Two great-grandchildren: Bella & Leo Porter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie & Rebecca Couch Elam, husband Rufus “Bill” Vance, seven brothers, Miles Oren Elam, Howard Burns Elam, Robert Wayne Elam, Faye Lee Elam, Amos Guy Elam, Terry Wyatt Elam, Billy Joe Elam. One sister Lou Edith Elam Litton, one grandchild, Lucas Wiglesworth.

Graveside services will be 1:00pm, Monday, March 20,2023 at Old Elam Cemetery, Gose Branch Road, West Liberty, KY with Rev. Karl Elam officiating with interment in Old Elam Cemetery, Branch Rd., West Liberty, KY.

Pallbearers: Cody Harper, Cory Harper, Robert Elam, Chris Elam, Tyler Elam, Shannon Elam, Raymond Vance, Scotty Vance.
