Melissa 'Missy' Renee (Whitt) Wilson

Melissa 'Missy' Renee Whitt Wilson, age 53 of Sandy Hook, KY, passed away Friday, November 21, 2025, at her home after an illness. She was born February 26, 1972, in Campton, KY, daughter of Richard Whitt and Rosa Stacy Vest. She attended the Glen Ave Church of God, West Liberty, KY. A former employee at EKCC, West Liberty, KY. She was a loving wife and mother, grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed spending her time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Rosa Stacy Vest and Phillip Vest. Several aunts and uncles, grandmother Lillie Mae Pelfrey, grandparents Milford & Marie Whitt, father- and mother-in-law Cecil Jr. and Sue Wilson, and stepbrother Isaac Fugate.

Surviving are her loving husband, Christopher Dale Wilson, and her father and stepmother, Richard & Lisa Whitt.  One son, Christopher Levi Wilson; two daughters, Katie Howell and Jeffery Cantrell; and Kayla Wilson. Two grandchildren, Connor Adams and Bryon Kidd. Sister-in-law Ginger Wilson. Sister of heart Alicia Smith. Two stepsisters: Hannah Blevins and Larissa Johnson.

Funeral services will be at 1:00pm on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Pastor Tim Elkins officiating. Interment in the Stacy Cemetery, Mordicia, KY. Visitation, 6:00pm, Monday at the Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY.

Serving as the pallbearers are John Lewis, Jordan Whitt, Caston Stacy, Jarred Smith, Jale Kilgore, and John Dillon.
