Mitchell Ray Phipps, age 70, of Grassy Creek, KY passed away Thursday, August 25, 2022 in the UK Hospital, Lexington, KY after a brief illness. He was born January 22, 1952 in West Liberty, KY to Dave Phipps and Ethel Smith Phipps. He was a member of the Salem Christian Church, Buskirk,KY and owner of Phipps HTG & Air Conditioning.

Surviving are his wife, Billie Whitaker Phipps, two children, Michelle Whitely, Nick & Andrea Phipps, three grandchildren, Shaye Whitely, Klacey Whitely, Raelyn Phipps

Preceded in death by his parents, Dave & Ethel Smith Phipps, two sisters, Oma Smith & Wanda Nickell, one brother, Breman Phipps.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm, Monday, August 29,2022 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Bro. Danny Collins, Bro. Hunter Fraley and Bro. Greg Chaney officiating. Burial in Salem Cemetery, Buskirk, KY. Visitation starts 6:30pm, Sunday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY.

Active Pallbearers: Nick Phipps, Leroy Phipps, Tommy Phipps, Frank Phipps, Brad Nickell, Keith Hembree. Honorary Pallbearers: Wayne Nickell, Benji Phipps.

Masonic Rites 7:30 PM, Sunday, conducted by Greenville Lodge #655 F&AM in the Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel.
