Norma Lee Skaggs Smith

Norma Lee Skaggs Smith, age, 86 of West Liberty, KY passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at her residence after a brief illness. She was born July 17, 1937, in Elkfork, Ky to Jerry & Lou Neva Bailey Skaggs.

Norma was affectionately cared for and ministered to by her daughter, Melinda and granddaughters, Melissa & Nancy as well as her grandsons, Jonathan & Robby in her final months which kept her in her home to pass away with the highest dignity & honor.

Her door was open to anyone in need. She generously kept people in her home. She led by example to love one another.

Preceded in death by her parents, Jerry & Lou Neva Bailey Skaggs. Husband, Sewell Smith, one daughter, Melissa Lawson.

Surviving is her one daughter, Melinda & Ivan Perry, two sons, Melvin & Patti Smith, Sheldon & Shelley Smith. Two sisters, Marcella Keeton, Julia Ferguson. Eight grandchildren, Melissa & Charles Wright, Jonathan & Monica Perry, Nancy & Michael Adkins, Robby Perry, Aubre & Bryant Huber, Curtis & Chelsea Smith, Shane & Bri Smith, Sunny & Pete Schweizer. Thirteen great grandchildren, Kayla & Patrick Kipp, Cami & Robert Spears, Olivia Wright, Brady Adkins, Gunnar Perry, Dylan Perry, Shelby & Jiragan Tangsri, Lacy Perry, Luke Schweizer, Ellie Huber, Owen Huber, Hattie Smith, Rori Smith. Three great great grandchildren, Salem Kipp, Espen Kipp, Ployphailin Tangsri.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Sunday May 5, 2024, at the Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY with Bro. Danny Price officiating & Speaker Michael Adkins. Interment will be held at the West Liberty Memorial Gardens, West Liberty, KY. Visitation starts at 7:00 PM Saturday May 4, 2024, at the Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY.
