Rachel Cathern (Daniel) Cantrell

Rachel Cathern Daniel Cantrell, age 84, of Piqua, Ohio, and formerly of Dingus, KY  departed this life on Saturday, November 9,2024 in the Koester Nursing Home, Troy, Ohio, after an extended illness. She was born November 16, 1939 at Ophir, KY daughter of Walter F. and Mintie Hill Daniel. She was a member of the Lebanon United Baptist Church, Dingus, KY, and a retired sewing factory worker. She was loving wife and sister and enjoyed sharing her home with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Walter F. and Mintie Hill Daniel and four brothers, Thirel, William (Bill), Joe and Dan Daniel.

Surviving is her husband Lige N. Cantrell and sister Sarah E. Deaton both of Piqua, Ohio. Three brothers Glennie Daniel of Cantonment, Florida, Raymond Daniel of Flat Gap, KY and Donnie Daniel of Dingus, KY.

Funeral services will be held 1:00pm, Thursday, November 14, 2024 at the Lebanon United Baptist Church, Peddler Gap Rd, Dingus, KY with Elder Austin Knipp, Elder Harland Burnett, and Elder Sam Reed officiating. Interment in the Daniel Cemetery, Peddler Gap Rd, Dingus, KY. Visitation will be 5:pm, Wednesday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY.
