Ralph Woodrow Smith

Ralph Woodrow Smith, age 67, of Frenchburg,KY and formerly of Morgan Co.,KY passed away Wednesday, October 13,2021 in the UK Hospital, Lexington, KY after an illness. Born August 19,1954 in Jeptha, KY to Amos Matthew Smith and Rosie Mae Harlow Smith. He served in the US Marine (1977 to 1985), a member of the Pine Grove Community Church, Ezel,KY. He was a Morgan Co. School bus driver for several years.

Surviving are two daughters, Utoni Melissa Lawson and William Lawson of, Ezel,KY, Fontana Linda May and Kenny Prater of Frenchburg,KY. Two sons, Ralph Matthew Smith of Means,KY, McGarett Armstrong Smith and Samantha Smith of Jeffersonville,KY. 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Three sisters, Barbara Jean Seab and Howard Seab of Roxie,Mississippi, Laura Madeline Angell and Darr Angell of Hobbs,New Mexico, Teresa Sue Ferguson of West Liberty,KY. Two brothers, Robert Charles Smith and Brenda Smith of Murray,KY, Rufus Morris Smith and Michelle Smith of Morhead,KY. Host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Amos Matthew Smith and Rosie Mae Harlow Smith, sister Audrey Nadine Lear and one brother Paul Edward Smith.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm, Monday, October 18,2021 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Bro. Paul Keeton. Interment in Ezel Cemetery, Ezel, KY (with Military Honors conducted by  Morgan Co.DAV Chapter # 132) . Visitation, 6:00pm, Sunday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY.

Pallbearers: Bill Lawson, Matthew Smith, McGarett Smith, Luke Lawson, Dylan Lawson, and Kevin Ferguson.
