Ray Edward Bowman went to his heavenly home on April 24, 2021. He was Born January 6, 1946 in Frenchburg, KY. He was previously employed at Rainbo Baking Company, Merita Baking Company and lastly Sara Lee Frozen Bakery. He was a member of Fellowship of Praise Church of God, Rocky Mount, NC and previously longtime member of Lafayette Church of Nazarene Church, Lexington, KY.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents Arnold and Rissa Brown Bowman, sisters Dorothy Bowman, Betty Sutton, Louise Turner, Eva Jean Russell and Esther Hutchinson.
He is survived by his wife of Twenty-Nine years Yvonne Lee Revel Bowman. He is also survived by his children Michael Ray (Melissa) Bowman-Nicholasville, KY, Stacy Lynn Maloney- Versailles, KY, Taylor Blake (Jasmine) Bowman- Raleigh, NC and Mishana Murphy- Maysville, KY. His brothers and sisters Earl (Sue) Bowman- Killeen, TX, Joseph (Nancy)- Lebanon Jct. KY, Arnold Jr. (Connie) Bowman- Berea, KY, Kenny (Delean)Bowman- Ezel, KY, Jack (Phyllis) Bowman- Lex, KY, Judy (David) Withrow- LaGrange, KY, David (Janie) Bowman- West Liberty, KY, and Ruth (Edwin) Lacy- Campton, KY, Ten Grandchildren, Jared, Jaelyn, Jack, Kendall, Mason, Mackenzie, Jaysa, Savannah, Nevaeh, Alliah and One Great-Grandchild, Brody.
Yvonne and family wishes to express deepest gratitude to their family, church family and many friends near and far for their generous outpouring of love, prayers, visits, words of comfort, food and much kindness.
Funeral services will be held 1:00pm, Saturday, May 1,2021 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Bro. David Dorn and Speaker Jared Maloney officiating. Burial in the Pomeroyton Cemetery, Pomeroyton, KY. Visitation will be held 11:30am, Saturday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY.
