Reva Bailey Collett Ritchie, 91 o f 118 Cougar Alley, West Liberty, KY died November 29, 2021 peacefully at her home. She was born May 15, 1930 in Magoffin County, KY, the daughter of William Kenowah Bailey and Zona Mann Bailey. She was converted and baptized many years ago and joined Brushy Fork United Baptist Church. At the time of her death, she was a member of the Redeemed Old Regular Baptist Church at Caney,KY.
Reva lived a full life working as a cashier at Bailey’s Food Market at Greer,KY and at Ken’s Market in West Liberty for many years and a member of Eastern Star. She enjoyed being active in the Senior Citizens Center. She also enjoyed fishing and taking bus trips to different places in the country.
Preceding her in death were her parents William Kenowah Bailey and Zona Mann Bailey and her husbands Willie Collett, Kenneth Crase, Bill Shepard and two daughters-- Judy who died at two months and Wanda Collett Morgan Blevins. She was also preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Christina George.
Surviving are her husband, Johnnie Ritchie; sons Roy (Jane) Collett of West Liberty, KY; Robert (Freda) Collett of Morehead, KY and a special granddaughter, Sherry Morgan George (Denzil) Robinson of West Liberty, KY. Grandsons Royce (Erica) Collett of Sandy Hook, KY; and Wes Collett of West Liberty, KY; Chad Collett of Morehead, KY; great grandsons, Cody Haney of West Liberty, KY; Brayden and Blake Collett of Sandy Hook, KY; great granddaughters Carolann George and Victoria Castle (Luke) Sexton of West Liberty, KY; great great granddaughter, Lauren Robinson and stepchildren.
Funeral services Friday, December 3, 2021, 1 p.m. at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Elders Larry Collett and Elder Tim Porter officiating. Interment at Salyer Cemetery, West Liberty, KY. Visitation 10 a.m. Friday until time of service.
Pallbearers are Royce Collett, Brayden Collett, Blake Collett, Wes Collett, Chad Collett, Cody Haney, Luke Sexton, Matt Daniel, and Kenny Dulin. Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home in West Liberty, KY is caring for all the arrangements for Reva Bailey Collett Ritchie.
