Richard Cox, age 68 of Ezel, KY passed away Saturday, February 11,2023 at his home after an extended illness. Born October 9,1954 in West Liberty, KY to Woodford and Thelma Mays Cox. He retired from the KY State Highway Department, West Liberty, KY. He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior many years ago and a member of the Son Life Broadcasting with Bro. Jimmy Swaggart.
Surviving are his wife Mable Sue Conway Cox of Ezel, KY. Four sisters, Lois DeBusk of Ezel, KY, Mary Stevens (Wes) of Miamisburg, OH. Betty Smith (Dale) of West Liberty, KY, Imogene Way (Bill) of Cincinnati, OH. One brother, Robert Cox (Tammy) of West Liberty, KY. Host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodford & Thelma Mays Cox, two sisters Emmadean Cox, Eileen Gevedon, sister -in- law Stacy Brewer.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm, Tuesday, February 14,2023 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Bro. Harry Flannery officiating. Interment in Cox-Mays Cemetery, Kellacey, KY. Visitation starts 11:00am,Tuesday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral home, West Liberty, KY.
