Bro. Roger Ball, 84, of Old Highway 172, West Liberty, KY, died in an automobile accident on Thursday, January 15, 2026. Born February 20, 1941, in Elkfork, KY, son of Thurman and Marie Smith Ball. Roger was the pastor at Martha Enterprise Baptist Church. Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Enterprise Baptist Association for nearly four decades. A devoted employee of Frederick & May Construction Company for nearly 65 years. He lived his life fully for three things: his Lord, his family, and his job. He gave of himself unselfishly to all.
Thurman and Marie Smith Ball, his parents, and Bernita Ison Ball, his wife, predeceased him in September 2007. as did three sisters, Lucille Ball, Gail Keeton, and June Hook.
Surviving are his two sons, Roger Dean & Angela Ball of Elkfork, KY, and Timothy Grant & Taretha Ball of Morehead, KY. Three grandchildren: Kaleb Grant Ball of Lexington, KY; Rebecca Elizabeth Ball of West Liberty, KY; and Timothy Kyler & Alyssa Ball of Lexington, KY. His siblings are Angie Endicott of Fremont, OH, and Woodrow & Edna Ball of Maytown, KY. Cortis Ison of Pomp, KY, is a special brother-in-law who feels more like a brother.
Funeral services will be at 1:00pm on Monday, January 19, 2026, at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel, with Bro. James Wallin officiating. Interment in the Ball Cemetery, Old House Branch Road, Elkfork, KY. Visitation, 6:00pm, Sunday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY.
Active pallbearers include Todd Frederick, Chad Frederick, Bobby Smith, David Roseberry, Kaleb Ball, and Kyler Ball. Frederick & May Construction Company and the Enterprise Baptist Association served as honorary pallbearers.
