Rosemary Cooper Mundy, age 74 of West Liberty, KY departed this life Saturday, April 12, 2025, at her home. She was born December 29, 1950, in Maysville, KY, the daughter of Leslie T. Cooper and Opal Adams Cooper. She retired as a registered nurse after 40 years of service in the Indian River County Florida area at Sebastian River Hospital and Indian River Memorial Hospital. Rose, as many called her, loved spending time with her family, fishing, gardening and cooking. She especially loved her morning coffee, most likely from working the night shift as a nurse. She loved offering help when it came to medical needs, it was her passion and did so for many years for her husband with Chron’s disease. She trained many new nurses in the field, and they loved her guidance.
Surviving is her daughter Kandi Mundy Phillips of Naples, FL, her husband David Phillipe, and son Jason Mundy of West Liberty, KY three grandchildren: John Bass Jr, Jada Bass and Makayla Mundy four great-grandchildren; Jayden, Janiyah, Braden and Daja. She was preceded in death by her parents Leslie and Opal Adams Cooper, her husband Donald Gene Mundy, brothers Jerry and Lester Cooper and sister Shirley Marlatt.
