Roy Gene Cantrell, age 62, of West Liberty, KY passed away Sunday, December 19,2021 in the West Liberty Nursing & Rehab Center after an extended illness. He was born March 26,1959 in West Liberty,KY to B.H.Cantrell and Lexie Myrtle Young Cantrell. He worked in an auto body shop.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Susan Ross Cantrell of West Liberty,KY. Three step sons, Eddie Keith & Crystal Howard, Daniel Jay Howard-Thomansia Lawson, Corey Mason Howard. Two step granddaughters, Jenessa Howard, Daniella Howard, four step grandsons, Julian Gevedon, Logan Howard, Harlan Howard, and Thomas Howard. Two sisters, Shirley Dersham of Covington,Ohio. Bonnie & Jimmy Lorraine of Piqua,Ohio. Four brothers, Denzil & Alma Cantrell, Joe & Christine Cantrell, both of West Liberty,KY, Jeff & Tosha Cantrell of Sandy Hook,KY and Buel & Carolyn Sue Cantrell of West Liberty,KY

He was preceded in death by his parents, B.H.Cantrell & Lexie Myrtle Young Cantrell, five sisters, Brenda Cantrell, Shonda Cantrell, Maxie Phillips, Kathy Fuller, Nevil Wamsley. Three brothers, Jimmy, Scotty and Dan Cantrell.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm,Thursday,December 23,2021 in Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Rev. Raymond Van Cleave officiating. Burial in the Murphy Fork Cemetery, Mize,KY. Visitation will be 11:am,Thursday in Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty,KY.
