Roy F. Mays

Roy F. Mays, age 68 of Wellington, KY passed away Sunday, December 29, 2024 at his home after an extended illness. He was born May 7,1956 in West Liberty, KY son of J.D. Mays and Bette Halsey Mays. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and served with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers during the Vietnam War.

Surviving is his mother Bette Halsey Mays of Ezel, KY. Daughter Callie & Robert Hensley of Winchester, KY. Son Michael Mays of Wellington, KY. Three grandchildren Areva Hensley, Luke Hensley, Leevi Hensley. He was preceded in death by his father J.D. Mays, wife Chloe Mays, sister Kathy Williams, brother Johnny Guy Mays.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm, Thursday, January 2,2025 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Bro. Harry Flannery officiating. Interment in Peyton Family Cemetery, Morehead, KY (with Military Honors conducted by Morgan Co. DAV Chapter # 132). Visitation,11:30am Thursday, January 2,2025 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY.
