Sarah “Katie” Katherine Truesdell, 90 of Zanesville, OH, passed away Friday, May 16, 2025, in her home. She was born January 5, 1935, in Maytown, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late Elijah Morton Pieratt and Lillie Howell Pieratt. Sarah enjoyed cooking, sewing, reading, working crossword puzzles, playing trivia and games, which she often won. She also enjoyed going to the casino, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Surviving is her daughter, with whom she resided, Vicki (Walter) Cooley; two sons: Keith (Faith) Truesdell of Monroe and Nick (Tina) Truesdell of New Lebanon; daughter in law Malinda Truesdell of Monroe ; a sister Margie (Ed) Vincent; grandchildren: Kristi Warner, Marty Jones, James (Ruthanna) Clayton, Amanda (Erick) Noel, LeeAnn (Jeremy) Horning, April (Jason) Ludwig, Charles (Kimmie) Truesdell, Adrienna Truesdell, Mikki (Kirk) Doerger, Toni (Glenn) Hughes, Nicholas (Caitlyn) Truesdell, Caitlyn (Joshua) Smith and Samantha White; thirty one great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son Jeffrey Allen Truesdell; five brothers: Ernest Pieratt, Everett Pieratt, Elmer Pieratt, Charles Williams, Ellis Williams; three sisters: Ida Mae Gilmore, Helen Day, Madeline McKean; and one grandson Jonathan Truesdell.
Burial and graveside service will take place on 2:00pm, Friday May 23, 2025, in the Ezel Cemetery in Ezel, Kentucky. Herald & Stewart & Halsey & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY in care of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be her great grandsons: Zachary Clayton and Nathaniel Clayton; grandsons: James Clayton and Charles Truesdell; son Keith Truesdell and son in law Walter Cooley. .
