Benny Scott Hopkins age 79,of Hwy 364 West Liberty,Kentucky passed away at his home Tuesday, June 2,2020.Born September 14,1940 in Matthew, Kentucky a son of Armel and Polly Kennard Hopkins. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and was carpenter by trade. He was a member of the Eastern Star chapter #561 and the Masonic Lodge # 755 F&AM for more than 50 years. He attended Index Community Church.
Surviving is his wife of 44 years Patsy Perkins Hopkins of West Liberty,KY. Two daughters Diane & Randy Rock of Providence Forge, Virginia and Karen Evans of West Liberty,KY. Nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Carolyn Elam of Salyersville,KY. Vanessa & Jerry Elam of West Liberty, KY. Two brothers Lowell C. & Doris Hopkins of Middletown,Ohio. Kenneth Hopkins of Lexington,KY. Uncle Paul & JoAnn Hopkins of Norman,OK. and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Armel and Polly Kennard Hopkins, three brothers Robert, Larry, and Bill Hopkins, one sister Betty Jenkins, one son Pat Phipps, one daughter, Rosellen Pearson, one grandson Clay Puryear, and one niece Kelly Louise Elam, nephew Travis Hopkins.

Funeral services will be at 1:00pm,Friday, June 5,2020 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Rev. Mike Frisby and speaker Terry Hopkins officiating. Burial in the Brown Cemetery Rt.364, West Liberty, KY. Visitation will be 6:pm, Thursday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY. Pallbearers: Tony Jenkins, Greg Jenkins, Jerry Hopkins, Terry Hopkins, Randy Rock, and Joseph Woody.
Masonic rites conducted by Elkfork Lodge#755 F&AM 7:pm Thursday funeral home chapel.
