Scotty C. Fugate

Scotty C. Fugate of Liberty Rd., West Liberty, KY departed this life Saturday June 7, 2025 in the West Liberty Nursing & Rehab Center at the age of 83 years, 4 months and 23 days. He was born January 15, 1942, Grassy Creek, KY son of Cummings and Grace Owens Fugate. He was member of the West Liberty Christian Church and served as a deacon. He retired from the Transportation Cabinet, Jackson, KY as the highway administrator manager after retirement he was a cattle farmer. He served in the US Army.

Surviving is his wife Linda Wolfe Fugate, daughter Leann Fugate. Two grandsons John Alec Scott Fugate and Jordan Lee Fugate. Brother Jerry & Beverly Fugate, host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Cummings & Grace Owens Fugate. One son John Scott Fugate, sister Bertie Ruth Murphy and brother-in-law Bernard Murphy.

Funeral services 1:00pm, Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Pastor Hunter Fraley officiating. Entombment in the West Liberty Memorial Gardens. Visitation, 11:30am Tuesday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY.

Active pallbearers: Jerry Fugate, David Fugate, Anthony Murphy, Zach Blevins, Josh ‘JK’ Hall, Chandler Trusty. Honorary pallbearers: John Alec Scott Fugate, Jordan Lee Fugate, host of family and friends.
