Shawn Anthony McCarty, age 37 of West Liberty, KY, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2018 in U.K. Hospital, Lexington, KY, after an extended illness. He was born March 6, 1981 in Morehead, KY. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Cannel City, KY. He was preceded in death by a daughter, LaShawn McCarty and one uncle, Terry McCarty. Surviving is his wife, Amber Lumpkins McCarty, his parents, Anthony and Theresa McCarty all of West Liberty,KY. One son, Carson McCarty of Dry Ridge,KY. One daughter, Elissa Rayburn of West Liberty, KY. Two sisters, Dayla & Jamie Keeton, and April McCarty all of West Liberty,KY. Three brothers,

Aaron McCarty of West Liberty,KY, Craig McCarty of Georgetown,KY, and Rod McCarty of West Liberty,KY. Maternal grandparents, Steeley and Naomi Eagle of Cynthiana,KY. Paternal grandparents, Cletis Lavon & Lanell McCarty of Cannel City,KY. Four nieces, Jayden McCarty, Kaitlyn Whitt, Chloe Lumpkins and Kendra Ratliff. Four nephews, Damian Keeton, Cayden Stamper, Caleb and Devon Lumpkins. Host of aunts and uncles.

Funeral service will be 1:00pm, Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Bro. Mike Lindon officiating. Burial in Chester Lumpkins Cemetery, West Liberty, KY. Visitation after 11:00am, Saturday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY. Pallbearers: Craig McCarty, Tyler Moore, Nathan Potter, Jamie Keeton, Alex Moore and Derek McCarty.
