Shirley (Salyer) Hembree

Shirley Salyer Hembree, of West Liberty, KY departed this life Wednesday, June 4,2025 in Morehead, KY at the age of 84 years 5 months and 27 days. Born December 8, 1940 in Little Pricey, KY, daughter of Cooper Salyer and Nett Hopkins Salyer. She was a retired farmer, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

Surviving one daughter B.J. Conley, three sons, Kevin Hembree, Keith & Michelle Hembree, and Jackie & Renee Hembree. Daughter-in-law Debra Hembree. fourteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren. Host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Cooper & Nett Hopkins Salyer, husband William Hembree, one son Timothy Hembree, daughter Belinda Adkins, two granddaughters Lynette Conley and Kayla Adkins. Sister Mondell Razor, brother Sammy Salyer, son-in-law Renny Adkins, several brothers and sisters in law.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm, Sunday June 8,2025 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey chapel with Bro. Jimmy Adkins officiating. Burial in the Brown Cemetery, Matthew, KY. Visitation, 600pm Saturday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY.
