Shirley Ann Stevens, age 85, Campton, KY, formerly of Elkfork, passed away Tuesday, March 24,2020 in the Nim Henson Nursing Home, Jackson, KY, after an extended illness. Born March 11, 1935 in Springfield, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Estill Skaggs and Alfreda Boyer Skaggs. In additions to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands Clyde Bruce Cobb and Linville D. Stevens. Two sons, Bruce Cobb and Frankie Stevens, two brothers, Robert & Michael Skaggs, four grandchildren, Shirley Cobb, Seth Stevens, Jamie Adkins and Nicky Adkins.
She is survived by five daughters; Brenda & Kenneth Cox of Campton,KY; Karen Edsell of Huntington Beach,CA.;Joyce & Donnie Stevens, Frances Adkins and Shuavon Pruitt all of Elkfork, KY. One son, David Cobb of Springfield,Ohio. Two sisters; Charlotte & Curt Cox, and Nellie Skaggs both of Springfield, Ohio. 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Due to COVID-19 requirements set forth by Governor Beshear, a private family visitation and service will be held Friday, March 27, 2020, at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel, West Liberty, with private burial immediately following at Aut Stevens Cemetery, Elkfork, KY. with Bro. Harry Flannery officiating. Active pallbearers, Kenneth Cox Jr., Allen Stevens, Mikey Adkins, Cody Benton, Kenneth Wade Cox, Derek Stevens. Honorary pallbearers: Noah Burton, Dalton Cox, Caleb Perkins, Bryce Perkins. Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY in care of arrangements of Shirley Ann Stevens.
