Stormey Howard

Stormey Howard, 87, of Hwy 203, Hazel Green, KY passed away July 1,2024 in Lexington, KY after an illness. He was born June 24, 1937 in Salyersville, KY, son of the late Lester Howard and Monnie Phipps Howard. He was a retired equipment operator working in the strip mines.

Surviving is four children, Sandra & Greg Howard, Judy Vanhoose, Robby & Kathy Howard, all of Salyersville, KY and Lisa & Dean Newman of Prestonsburg, KY. Eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. One sister; Wanda Sue Young of Piqua, OH. Host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Monnie Phipps Howard, Son, Bobby Ray Howard, 6 sibling, Crockett Howard, Jolly Howard, Goldie Gullett, Magdalene Howard, Justine Gamble, Bessie Rigsby. Son-in-law, Johnny Vanhoose, Daughter-in-law, Della Howard.

Funeral services will be 3;30pm, Friday, July 5, 2024 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Elder Chris Howard and Elder Rick Howard officiating. Interment in the Trumbo Risner Cemetery, Coon Creek Rd. Salyersville, KY. Visitation will be 6:pm, Thursday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY.

Pallbearers will be Family and Friends.
