Obituary
Thelma O. Halsey Taulbee, age 99, of Hwy 203, Hazel Green, KY passed away Tuesday, May 16,2023 in the West Liberty Nursing & Rehab Center, West Liberty, KY after a brief illness. Born in Malaga,KY on May 16,1924 to Jerry Halsey and Alice Lawson Halsey. She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her savior. She retired form the postal service.
Surviving are one son John & Gay Taulbee of Hazel Green, KY. One daughter, Bess & Gary May of Dayton, OH. Five grandchildren: Rhonda Webster (Kenny), Stefanie Savino (Matthew), Pete Taulbee (Carole), Jeff Maloney (Lisa), Lee May (Caryn). Ten great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren with a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry & Alice Lawson Halsey, husband Taylor Taulbee, daughter, Phyllis Maloney, son-in-law, Bill Maloney, three brothers, Albert, Ray and J. D. Halsey. Two sisters, Geneva Belcher, Pearl Randles.
Funeral services 2:30pm, Saturday, May 20,2023 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Bro. Charles Glover officiating. Interment in Hazel Green Cemetery, Hazel Green, KY. Visitation 1:00pm, Saturday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY.
Pallbearers are friends and relatives.
