Vivian (Ferguson) Gevedon

Vivian Ferguson Gevedon, of Grassy Creek, KY passed away Thursday, December 12,2024 in the Edgewood Estates Nursing Home, Frenchburg, KY after an illness at the age of 100 years, 10 months and 25 days. She was born January 18,1924 in Grassy Creek, KY daughter of the late Joe Frank Ferguson and Nancy McClure Ferguson. Vivian was a member of the Grassy Lick Baptist Church.  She was a very active member of the Grassy Lick Homemaker Club. She worked at Gateway in the early 80’s for a few years. She loved helping others in need. Vivian is deeply mourned by her children, grandchildren and is remembered as the beloved wife of her late husband, Joseph French Gevedon. A loving mother, grandmother. She had 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great- great granddaughter.

She was also preceded in death by her siblings Charles Matthew Ferguson, Jean Ferguson Motley, Ruth Evelyn Ferguson and Phyllis Josephine Ferguson.

Surviving is her three children Danny Joe & Janise Gevedon of Ezel, KY, Joan Gevedon Porter of Richmond, VA. and Jeffrey Frank & Teresa Gevedon of Grassy Creek, KY. Twelve grandchildren, Shane and Everett Markwell, Lisa and Scott Nobles, John Mathew Porter and Andra Simons, Rebecca and Frankie Spencer, Kristy and Jarrod Jones, Danielle Gevedon and Brad Gevedon, David Gevedon, Ryan and Brooke Gevedon, Andrew Trent, Katrina Trent, Sean Gevedon, and Logan Gevedon,  Nine great-grandchildren, Amberlee and Jeffery Terrell, Morgan and Jarrad Burton, Kayla Reid, Dylan Reid, Joseph Spencer, Gracie Spencer, Will Jones, Shelby Gevedon, and Reece Gevedon. One great-great-granddaughter Thea May Terrell.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm, Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Bro. Tommy Steele and Elder Roy Collett officiating. Interment in the Grassy Lick Cemetery, Grassy Creek, KY. Visitation, 11:am, Wednesday, December 18th at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY.
