Vonda Kay (Howard) Conley

 Vonda Kay (Howard) Conley affectionately know as Maw to her family and friends born August 17th 1956 at Rock House Ky. departed this life March 14th 2022 at Rock House Ky. after an extended illness. Vonda was preceded in death by her parents Hassel & Ruie Howard, one son Donnie Lowell Conley and one great grandchild Dawson Sexton. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Jimmy Conley of Rock House Ky., one son Chuck & Kim Conley of Rock House Ky., three daughters Alice Michelle & Billy Thomas of Stockton Rd Ky., Wandaleen May & Tony Sexton of Ditney Ridge Ky. and Alicia Jane & Mike Garner of Stockton Rd. Ky., and her beloved Jasper boy, 15 grand kids, 19 great grand kids and more in the oven. One sister Janie & Don Robbins of West Liberty Ky., two brothers Hassle & Opal Howard of West Liberty Ky. and Donnie & Beverly Howard of Rock House Ky.

At the age of 12, Vonda rode a church bus to Lacy Creek Church of Christ where she meet her future husband Jimmy Conley who she married at the age of 16. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother & great grandmother. She was a homemaker till youngest child was ready for school, taking in babysitting children, then worked at Lion Apparel for 13 years & studied and became an outstanding EMT with Morgan County ambulance service, where she retired in January 2012. She enjoyed traveling and has been to 48 states.

She accepted the lord & was baptized at the age of 14. She devoted her life to her family & church. She was a member of the Upper Lacy Creek Church, which she was so proud of. She was loved and respected by family and friends. She will be greatly missed by so many. Her testimony was that while on a vent in hospital she saw the Pearl of Great Price and a few days ago she said “I just want to go to Heaven and see the lights.”

Funeral services will be 11:00am,Friday, March 18,2022 in Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Bro. Tim Jenkins and Bro. Bob LeMaster officiating. Burial in Lacy Creek Church of Christ Cemetery, Lacy Creek, KY. Visitation will be 6:00pm,Thursday in Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Conley, Daniel Conley, Zach Sexton, Joe Conley, Jordan Sexton, Andrew Hedge and Braxton Sexton.
