Wanda Fay (Trusty) Childers

Wanda Fay Childers, age 66, Heritage Place, Morehead, KY passed away Thursday, October 3, 2024, in the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lexington, KY after a brief illness. She was born March 26, 1958, in Frenchburg, KY daughter of Hager Trusty and Helen Lykins Trusty. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church, Gordan Fork, KY. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister and will be sadly missed by her loving family.

She was preceded in death by her parents Hager and Helen Lykins Trusty, husband Walter Childers, daughter Brenda Fay Childers, twin brother Donald Ray Trusty, and three sisters, Bonnie May Trusty, Shirley Miller and Cappie King.

She is survived by three daughters Debbie Lykins (Daniel Lykins) of Cannel City, KY, Melissa Childers (Joshua Wright), Morehead, KY, and Michelle Allen (Matthew Allen) of Morehead, KY. One son David Childers (Nicole Childers) of Hazel Green, KY. One brother. Elmer Trusty (Peggy) of West Liberty, KY. 18 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm, Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Pastor Tim Clark and Bro. Steve Howard officiating. Interment in the Childers Cemetery, Adele, KY. Visitation, 6:00pm, Monday, October 7, 2024, at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY.

Pallbearers are David Childers, Daniel Lykins, Joshua Wright, Matthew Allen, Cody Bolin, and Nicholas Lykins.
