William Eugene Smith

William Eugene Smith, age 75, of  Frank Blevins Road, West Liberty, KY passed away Wednesday, May 17,2023 at his home after an extended illness. Born June 16,1947 in Winchester, KY to William Earl Smith and Florence Lewis Smith. He was a retired welder and served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was a Christian.

Surviving are his wife Reva “Bet” Blevins Smith, daughter, Tiffany & Jeremy Kilgore, three sons, Jeffrey & Shellie Smith, Jaried & Jeannie Smith, Shane Smith (Shena), nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two sisters, Ruby Adkins and Phyllis & Tim Hamilton and three brothers; Jack & Emma Smith, Ronnie & Lucy Smith, Roger & Brenda Lewis. Host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Earl & Florence Lewis Smith, three brothers, Ralph, Randy & Tim Smith.

Funeral services 1:00pm, Sunday, May 21,2023 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Bro. Jonathan Sargent and Bro. Tim Hamilton officiating. Interment in Whispering Pines Cemetery, Sandy Hook, KY (with Military Honors at graveside conducted by Morgan Co.DAV Chapter # 132). Visitation 6:30pm, Saturday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY.

Pallbearers: Dwayne Moore, Jared McKnight, Dale Smith, Reuben Wright, A. J. Smith, Shane Smith, Keith Callahan, Eugene Blevins.

Masonic rites 7:30pm Saturday May 20th., conducted by 654 F&AM Morehead Lodge, Morehead, KY in funeral home chapel.
